Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held Cranbourne, Pinjarra and Townsville.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM

BATTAGLIA (3) has been a model of consistency of late. Scored at Pakenham four runs back and has been around the money in recent assignments. Is sure to go well. STRADARI (7) had been racing moderately before racing on the speed and proving too strong at Bairnsdale last time. A repeat effort will see him in the money here. WAITAPU (8) scored here in June and two runs since have been fair. Meets and even bunch and is worthy of thought. SKY HORSE (12) had been racing moderately before putting the writing on the wall at Ballarat last time. A repeat of that will see her around the money.
SELECTIONS: Back Battaglia to win.

PINJARRA: RACE 2 @ 1:47 PM

FIRST LAW (2) let down strongly to win by 3 lengths at Belmont Park last time out over this trip. He rates highly off that performance and will be hard to hold out if he can repeat it. OUR BOY DYLAN (1) comes here first up. He goes well fresh and is 1/1 at this track. Should be thereabouts. CASH AWAY (3) is another fresh runner today. He won first up when last in work at Pinjarra Scarpside and has won a trial in preparation. Consider. DAZZLING DANE (6) struggled over 1600m last time out and may be better suited to sprint trips. She's run well over this trip in the past and wouldn't shock.
SELECTIONS: First Law to win.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 5 @ 2:27 PM

ROSHAN (1) appreciated the weight drop when up in grade for a tough win at Rockhampton on July 19. This looks much easier but rises in weight and will need luck from the gate. Take beating. ROC DE KHAPER (9) looks primed to go third-up after mixing his form at last two outings. Gets the services of William Pike today and the inside gate puts him right in the picture. KIM ALICIA (14) raced on the speed and scored a tough maiden win here on July 5. Morrison sticks and can take it to the next level now. UNDOUBTED (7) was up in trip and drifted back before making up some ground late here over the 2000m on July 21. Has a good record and must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Roshan to win.
