Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Cranbourne, Geelong, Geraldton, Sunshine Coast, Grafton, Muswellbrook, Mt Garnet and Alice Springs.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 7 @ 8:15 PM

MISS JENNIFER (5) was an impressive debut winner at Pakenham and backed it up with a solid placing last time. Blinkers go on first time and is drawn to get the gun run. Top pick. FJORD (7) wasn't disgraced in Listed company last start, finishing midfield at Morphettville. Up in the weights and has a tricky gate to contest. Best form hard to ignore. BLACK PENN (1) has a strong record fresh and goes well over this journey. Warrants plenty of respect on best figures. SERENAUR (6) chased hard and battled to the line to nab second at the latest after being wide throughout. Drawn to settle close this time. Further improvement can see him in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Backing Miss Jennifer to win.

ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 3 @ 4:05 PM

RHYTHMICAL (8) needed it first-up and then ran his best race just beaten without much luck. Draws to advantage and keeps the 3kg claim. Fitter he can go one better. BUTTERFINGERS (6) keeps the top hoop and is back in grade. She can improve over the longer sprint. CAITLIN'S ANGEL (7) has to manage a wide gate but would be competitive at best and the latest here was a solid effort. Stablemate REAL VALENTIA (4) has a similar profile but will also need luck from an outside barrier.
SELECTIONS: Backing Rhythmical to win.

GEELONG: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM

BOOKER TEE (2) is a lightly tried four-year-old and repaid his connections patience with a dominant fresh up win at Swan Hill. He will be suited by the increase in distance today and is quite capable of going back to back. On top. SCHUHBECK (6) is a consistent performer who broke through for a deserved maiden win during his last campaign. He has a recent trial placing leading in this and should give a good account of himself fresh up. Watch closely. DESPEREAUX (7) built nicely to a commanding Wodonga maiden win last start and did so in a manner that says she hasn't finished winning yet. Hard to beat. VILLE CHANSON (4) is nearing his best form again after two solid placings at his most recent starts. He has a good record on this track and is worth including in all combinations.
SELECTIONS: Booker Tee win bet.

GERALDTON: RACE 4 @ 3:30 PM

STOCKTAKA (1) brings strong form from Ascot and was beaten less than 2L the latest. Has the 2kg claim and will get the run of the race from the low gate. Suited and expect him to see out the extra trip. VANMAN (10) peaks and improved again beaten 1.6L here the latest. He's feared up from the mile. ARABIAN RICHES (3) has been knocking on the door and races handy. A chance at best. PROXY (4) is a veteran racing well and may be next best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Stocktaka.

GRAFTON: RACE 9 @ 4:40 PM

NORTHERN WILDEROSE (11) found one better last start at Doomben, going down by 1.3L. There's been 3 winners out of that race, she drops 2kg and she's drawn much better today. She loves this distance and appears the one to beat. SNOWZONE (2) wasn't beaten far last time out on the Gold Coast and looks well suited here in this easier assignment. He handles the going and is bound to make his presence felt with Mallyon taking the ride. AHEADOFHISTIME (3) went down narrowly here two back but couldn't match it at Doomben last start. Can bounce back today. BRAZEN GEM (4) must be kept safe first-up for the new stable.
SELECTIONS: Northern Wilderose looks a great each-way bet.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 7 @ 4:20 PM

TOTO (8) has a handy record over this sprint journey with two wins and two placings from seven starts. Strips fitter second-up and gets the services of Sherry to navigate from the sticky draw. Looks a serious contender. GREENHEART (3) failed last time out but prior to that had strung three wins together on the bounce. Can return to form. CASSY'S SISTER (2) is a model of consistency hitting the top four at her past nine outings. Has a solid second-up record and can feature in the finish. The well-related CEASEFIRE (13) best of the rest while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Toto each-way.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 6 @ 5:40 PM

AWE (7) switched from a Victorian barn and won the Maiden emphatically second-up for Michael Costa. He was heavily-bet again and has the leading hoop aboard this evening. Fitter he rates to take the next step. GWAN SO (9) is also in good hands and impressed winning his Maiden at Canberra as expected. The second horse Vaaroom has gone on to win in emphatic fashion. The former UK galloper is right up to this. A gap to the rest and not much between the better ones. GAUNTLET (3) is third-up and on the improve and he can fill the other slot.
SELECTIONS: Going with Awe.
