Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gosford, Coffs Harbour, Ballarat, Mackay and Pinjarra.

GOSFORD: RACE 2 @ 12:45 PM

Import FUNAMBULIST (2) hasn't done much wrong since landing on our shores with a win and three seconds from four outings. Gets 2kg off with the claim and will be at peak fitness now. Is clearly the one they all have to run down. AQUILEON (1) is a very consistent campaigner who rarely puts in a bad effort. Expected to play a major role in the finish again. APEROL SPRINT (3) got the job done last time out and will have taken a lot of confidence from that victory. In the mix. HOUSE WINS (7) has been knocking on the door with two consecutive runner-up finishes and looks a top-three candidate on best form. OVERTHINK (4) has placed two of his past three and gets the services of King in the irons. Can earn some minor money.
SELECTIONS: Funambulist to win.

COFFS HARBOUR: RACE 5 @ 2:55 PM

WAIPIO (10) has had one blip in a string of threatening efforts. Missed a whisker on the heavy the latest and the top hoop sticks from that. She should get a soft run and can go one better. PONTOON PETE (3) raced favourite at Inverell but found one better. Missed a lip at Taree prior on the heavy and that stacks right up. Has a handy 2kg claim and can make the quinella. DANISH LANE (5) has switched to the Osborne yard and brings good form from Victoria on a 28-day return. Comes back to a sprint but has to be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Waipio.

BALLARAT: RACE 4 @ 2:00 PM

HOUSE SPOUSE (4) has had the three runs back following a break. Filled placings in past two outings at Sale and is ready to win again. Gets that chance here. HENRY THE LION (6) broke through in good fashion at Warrnambool during the Carnival before being a little plain last time. Back in trip this time and cannot be dismissed. SUNDAY BUZZ (2) was a winner on debut at Donald and three subsequent runs have all been sound, finishing just behind the placegetters. Should be near his top after two runs this campaign. Will go close. JIMMY'S SECRET (5) has been kept fresh since latest appearance in March. Has schooled over hurdles and could be one to keep an eye on.
SELECTIONS: Back House Spouse to win.

MACKAY: RACE 2 @ 12:52 PM

SUPER VOGUE (2) switched from a top Sydney barn and only missed 1.5L here as a 10-9 equal favourite. Stanley goes on today and he's red-hot. Draws low and fitter should be winning. GYPSY ROZAY (5) missed a lip at Rocky second-up and didn't have the best of it. She's likely to lift again and can make the finish. D'ORO CHOICE (4) was just beaten here on the heavy and has disappointed the two since at Townsville on good tracks. Gets a change of jockey and expect a better effort on the 9-day return. MISHANI HURRICANE (1) resumes for the new barn with a 3kg claim. Hasn't done much but is worth a betting watch.
SELECTIONS: Backing Super Vogue to win.

MACKAY: RACE 8 @ 4:37 PM

MACHINATE (8) is a former Victorian who broke her Maiden status here first-up for the new barn. She has more to give and should get the run of the race. Stanley rides and strikes at 37% with the Taylor barn. She can take the next step. BAYERISCHE (2) resumes and can make the quinella if presented more forward this time around. He was spelled after one run for the new barn and just missed at the Sunshine Coast prior. He's trialled but gets a sticky gate. FUTURE IDEA (3) resumed with a solid placing at Rocky and brought good form to that. Lightly-raced and a chance using the rail. ZOUNATE (1) was okay resuming in a strong form race. Will be fitter and can fill a slot.
SELECTIONS: Backing Machinate to win.

PINJARRA: RACE 3 @ 2:04 PM

EEE PEE CEE (7) is a first-starter by So You Think out of Nataya Rose who placed in a recent trial and looks talented enough to make a winning debut here. SAMBAZA (10) closed last preparation with a sound fourth at this track. Has won a trial leading in and should be forward enough. I'M A SPECIAL GIRL (12) was just fair on debut at Kalgoorlie, beaten 3.5 lengths but will have come on for the experience and can improve. BIG CITIES (1) comes here first up having trialled well and should go well fresh.
SELECTIONS: Eee Pee Cee to win.
