13:20 (Newmarket) Marie Laveau

Marcus Tregoning's Marie Laveau also shaped very nicely on her debut and should take all the beating in the Discover Newmarket Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes.

Tiamat won nicely at Newcastle on her first start, but it won't be easy giving weight away to all of her rivals. The main threat is likely to come from Marco Botti's filly Gold As Glass, who makes plenty of appeal on paper.

13:55 (Newmarket) Peace Of Mine

Despite the fact she disappointed at Chelmsford last time, Peace of Mine won in taking style on her debut at Salisbury and George Boughey's filly is fancied to return to winning ways back on turf.

Fitz Perfectly made a promising start to her career when fourth at Newcastle last month. She could be the biggest danger, while Mammas Girl and Sub Rosa are a pair of newcomers who make considerable appeal.

14:25 (Newmarket) Greek Order

There is always the hope that a card like this produces a star of the future and Greek Order, a full-brother to Sangarius, could be above average.

He was green on his debut at Salisbury but was still only beaten a length into third.

The odds are this Harry and Roger Charlton-trained youngster will know much more about the game this time in the Stephen Rowley Remembered Novice Stakes.

15:00 (Newmarket) Sir Laurence Graff

Midnight Lion has questions to answer after mustering only fourth place at Pontefract earlier in the month, but the son of Nathaniel merits respect if back to the level of his previous efforts.

Similar comments can be applied to Divya, who failed to build on the promise of her third at Ascot in September when finishing down the field at Haydock later that month.

The safest option appears to be Sir Laurence Graff, who arrives in fair form and may gain a breakthrough success now reverted to turf. Expressionless may prove best of the remainder now up in distance.

15:35 (Newmarket) One Nation

One Nation lost little in defeat when finishing second behind his well-fancied stablemate here in September and the son of Dubawi has shaped as if this extra distance could bring about more improvement.

One World appeared to approve for the extra distance at Newcastle and, having got back to winning ways on that occasion, he could prove the biggest threat switched back to turf.

Castle Way may be seen in a better light having appeared not to handle Epsom when last seen, with Struth, who finished ahead of Charlie Appleby's colt in that contest, another to note now entering handicaps.

16:10 (Newmarket) Light Of Peace

You usually never go far wrong in backing Charlie Appleby and William Buick at Newmarket and they look to have another good chance with Light Of Peace in the Racing TV Fillies' Handicap.

Placed in all three of her starts to date, she has been off the track since finishing second back in June.

She obviously has had some minor issue, and being unraced at two connections will be very keen to get a win into her before this season is out.

Having shown a decent level of ability on all three of her runs, though, she is surely up to winning off a mark of 84.

Beaten a length and a half into third on debut by the now 94-rade Voodoo Queen she was then beaten just a short head by Whitebeam and she is now rated 103. Most recently she was beaten a length by Pure Dignity who went on to chase home Laurel on her next start so bearing all that in mind she looks well treated.

16:45 (Newmarket) Military Order

Military Order can show the benefit of his recent debut by opening his account in the British Stallion Studs EBF Future Stayers Novice Stakes at Newmarket.

There was quite a lot of talk when Military Order made the short journey from Appleby's Moulton Paddocks yard to HQ for his debut 18 days ago.

That is because the Frankel colt is a full-brother to last year's Derby and King George winner Adayar.

Sent off the odds-on favourite among a field of 10, a few might have been disappointed that he could only finish fourth.

It must be remembered, though, that Adayar himself filled the same position on his debut before winning on his final start at two and going on to create history at three.

Whether Military Order is going to do anything remotely close is obviously a huge ask, but there was enough promise in his debut run, and he was not knocked about, to suggest that he will know a lot more on this occasion.

17:20 (Newmarket) Menalippe

In an open event, marginal preference is for Menalippe. James Ferguson's charge won at Leicester earlier this month and a 5lb rise from the handicapper could underestimate her.

Talamanca steps up in trip having won at Redcar last time out and he ought to be thereabouts if seeing out the extra distance.

Miyagi and Creatively demand respect on their handicap debuts.
