Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Kembla Grange, Swan Hill, Grafton and Cairns.

KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 2 @ 2:10 PM

PRIMO (5) warmed up late on resumption over 1200m at Newcastle with a solid fourth on March 21. Extra trip suits and a repeat of latest will see him hard to hold out with the blinkers added. SUMMONS (2) back from a lengthy spell when he plowed through the heavy (8) going to finish a narrow second over 1400m here on March 23. Strips fitter now and drawn to get the right run again. DEVON COUNTY (1) staying bred gelding from the Sargent yard returning from a lengthy break. Last appeared when a tiring fifth over 1850m at Newcastle Mdn-Sw on August 19. Since fitted with a recent trial placing over 1200m at Randwick and has placed first-up in the past. Tongue-tie goes on and is expected to get through the conditions. CAN EXPECT GREATER (9) first-up after four months second last of 7 at Hawkesbury over 1300m on March 19. Extra trip suits and can take a hand in the finish.

SWAN HILL: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM

FURLANETTO (11) comes here third up and ready to fire. She led early and held on for 3rd when resuming at Colac before a good effort when 5th at Bendigo, not beaten far. This is easier and she should get every chance racing on the pace again. MISSY SPIKE (7) was beaten a head first-up at Wagga before an even effort at Albury last time. Out to 1600m suits ideally, she'll be very hard to hold out. CIRCA (4) was good over this trip at Benalla last start when beaten a long neck. Coming along well and should be thereabouts. THE SIMPLE LIFE (10) was better last time over 1400m at Ballarat and up in trip here should suit. DASHING REBEL (1) next best.
SELECTIONS: Furlanetto to win.

GRAFTON: RACE 6 @ 4:20 PM

INTENTIONAL LASS (9) is going much better than her form reads. The form from his last start Eagle Farm run has stuck up superbly in 17 days, with already three subsequent winners. Draws to get all the favours from the inside and will take plenty of stitching. OTTOMAN EMPIRE (3) chased gamely into the frame first up when sent out public elect. Is sure to have come on with that run under the belt and is drawn much kinder. Can give this a a big shake. SPILLS (6) has been denied narrowly in his last two and is worth including on best form. Last start winner MATSUYAMA (2) is also worth including.
SELECTIONS: Backing Intentional Lass to win.

CAIRNS: RACE 7 @ 4:47 PM

PUSS BOOTS (6) won the Open 3 easily here and followed with a 1.8L defeat in the same grade at Townsville. Finds easier and has been kept on the fresh side. The sting out of the track assists her chances. VANCOUVER BAY (4) resumes and has won fresh. Has a small claim and has the early speed to manage the awkward barrier. Should be on song and is a chance. BRAVE MISSILE (10) spiked his figures winning here this grade as an equal favourite. Has a low barrier and can't be ruled out. BORLOTTI BEANS (3) peaks and just missed the placings at Townsville last time. Will race forward and is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Going with Puss Boots.
