Post race reports from recent Sydney/Melbourne meetings - December 6-17.

MORNINGTON – December 17

RACE 4: Trainer Wendy Kelly has advised that Shot Caller did jar up from the firm track but has pulled up satisfactorily and will be continuing on with the gelding’s preparation.

RACE 5: Trainer Nikki Burke has confirmed that Toothless has pulled up satisfactorily and will be continuing on with the gelding’s preparation.

RACE 7: The stable of co-trainers David Hayes and Tom Dabernig have advised that Northern Lyric has pulled up satisfactorily and will be continuing on with the gelding’s preparation.

CANTERBURY – December 17

Race 1: Almahstique’s trainer Tony McEvoy reported the gelding had pulled up well following its disappointing performance and its subsequent work had pleased the stable. Mr McEvoy indicated he intends to continue with the preparation of Almahstique.

HAWKESBURY – December 14

Race 2: Stable representative Mark Newnham advised that Milyeva had now left the stable.

RANDWICK: December 13

RACE 3: Permit’s trainer Chris Waller advised that Permit had pulled up well and in his opinion the poor run was due to the soft track conditions.

Race 4: Trainer Bjorn Baker reported that Fashion Model has been spelled.

RACE 6: Aomen’s stable representative Edward Cummings reported the gelding would have a short time out.

RACE 8: Nisroc coughed on a number of occasions subsequent to the race and will be scoped after galloping on December 18.

ROSEHILL – December 12

RACE 1: Mad About You’s stable representative Shannon Perry advised that the filly will be spelled.

Race 3: She’s Invincible’s trainer Ron Quinton stated that a full veterinary examination of the filly, including an endoscopic examination, did not reveal any abnormalities. He added that She’s Invincible will now be spelled.

WARWICK FARM – December 10

Race 3: Manhattan Island’s stable representative Jenny Moses reported the gelding had some minor bruising to the off-fore heel, but otherwise had pulled up well and reiterated the wet track conditions were the principal reason for the disappointing performance.

Race 5: Shikra’s stable representative Tom Ward stated the gelding had been spelled.

Race 6: Our Uncle Archie’s trainer Steve Engelbrecht stated that the gelding had pulled up well and he will continue on with its campaign.

ROSEHILL – December 6

Race 2: Eisenhower’s stable representative Mark Newnham reported that gelding had pulled up well and will be freshened up in the stable.

Race 3: Surge Ahead’s stable representative Edward Cummings stated that the gelding had pulled up well and was unsuited by the track conditions.

Race 4: His Highness’ trainer Luke Griffiths stated that the gelding had sustained a small tendon tear, which will necessitate His Highness going for a lengthy spell.

Race 7: One More’s stable representative J Clark reported the gelding had pulled up well and the stable will continue on with its campaign
