City Jeep Racing Launches At The Valley

We are excited to be on the cusp of another massive season of Friday Night Racing at The Valley with a great program of racing and plenty of on-course entertainment which all begins this Friday night with the City Jeep Night Racing Season Launch.

The City Jeep Night Racing Season Launch sees the running of the feature Group 3 Gallagher Bassett / TBV Champagne Stakes over 1200m, with many high-class three year old fillies racing for the $150,000 prizemoney on offer. With no AFL Final in Melbourne, we are offering FREE entry to any AFL or Club members who show their relevant card at the gate upon entry.

Friday Night Racing Key Race Dates

Group 1 City Jeep Moir Stakes -October 2nd (Grand Final Eve)

Group 1 William Hill Manikato Stakes – October 23rd

Christmas Racing - November 13th to December 18th

Summer Racing recommencing 29th January Group 1 William Reid Stakes – March 24th (Thursday)

 

Some interesting facts ahead of this year’s City Jeep Friday Night Season include:

It is the 19th season of Night Racing at The Valley 

This season we will hold 16 Night Racing meetings 

There will be a public holiday for the Group 1 City Jeep Moir Stakes (Oct 2) on Grand Final Eve 

Over $9,000,000 worth of prizemoney and trophies are on of offer14 black-type races overall throughout the season

 

We will be looking to provide plenty of entertainment on and off the course which will include:

A huge local act to be announced on Channel 7 and Racing.com this Friday Night for the William Hill Manikato Stakes Night on October 23.

A fantastic entertainment partnership to be announced this Friday night on Racing.com which will bring world-class entertainment acts to The Valley.

DJ and live entertainment on every Friday Night in the Beer Garden.

Jeep 55 Second Challenge Heats – every Friday Night meeting will hold a 955 metre dash, with the fastest time recorded over the season winning a Jeep for the winning trainer worth over $70,000. There will also be a drink promotion on course if the horse breaks 56 seconds.

TCL Ride of the Night – the best ride of the night as chosen by the broadcasting hosts will win a 50” Full High Definition TV for the winning jockey. We will be engaging followers on Twitter using the #TCLrideofthenight hashtag

Please don’t forget our new twitter handle is now @TheValley which fits in well with our new branding. We would also request that we be referred to as ‘The Valley’ rather than Moonee Valley whenever referenced in a marketing capacity.
