Cox Plate Pins Support Royal Children's Hospital

Moonee Valley Racing Club will again partner with The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation in raising much needed funds through the sale of the 2018 Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pins.

The 2018 Cox Plate Charity Pins will be available to purchase for $5 during race meetings at The Valley from Ladbrokes Cox Plate Qualifier Raceday on September 8 through to the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival on October 26-27.

They will also be available through volunteer pin sellers at each event during Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival week and at the MV Legends, the Junction Club and Leigh Oak gaming venues.

“We are again delighted to partner with the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation through our Cox Plate Charity Pin partnership and we will work extremely hard with our staff, volunteers and the local community to raise as much as we possibly can for such a worthy cause,” said MVRC chief executive Michael Browell.

All proceeds from the sale of the 2018 Cox Plate Charity Pins will be going to The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

With Winx returning for an unprecedented attempt at a fourth WS Cox Plate on October 27, the Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pins will likely become a keepsake.

The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation is a distinguished fundraising organisation with over 28 years of experience supporting the hospital’s goals above everyday operations.

Through philanthropy, they are changing the future of healthcare for children and young people across Australia and the world.

“The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation is delighted to be named charity partner for the 2018 Cox Plate Charity Pin,” says Sue Hunt, chief executive of the The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“Community support like this ensures the hospital can continue providing outstanding care to our sickest and most vulnerable children.

“We are thankful for every dollar raised which will support medical excellence at the hospital, allowing the RCH to attract the best and brightest medical minds from across the globe to care for our children.”
