Sydney Specials: Randwick – 6th February 2021

We return to headquarters on Saturday with a number of our stars set to kick of their Autumn campaigns.

Dual Group 1 winner Ole Kirk lines up in the Inglis Sprint, while stablemates Written Beauty and North Pacific also hope to kick off on a winning note.

In the Inglis Millennium, Profiteer is the odds-on favourite, having lit up the straight on debut at Flemington.

Since trialled very well in Sydney and they find Bowman from a good draw, the stable is very bullish and they have every right to be.

Across the nine race program, seven favourites are priced inside $2.50, three of which are odds-on.

The final event sees Blaze A Trail installed the $3.80 favourite, a juicy price for any sectional junkies I'm sure.

He returned over 1300m last start and was clearly one of the runs of the race when a close second behind Tycoonist.

A key sectional star, he is sure to derive good improvement from that hit-out and while he gets to the mile quickly, it is a big tick, judging by his profile.

A dominant winner over the mile as a two-year-old, he should be even better over further and he's drawn to settle a lot closer for James McDonald.

When adjusting for sectional mark-ups, he looks to hold a clear edge on his rivals and while he will want the rain to stay away, you just have to bet up at the price.

I have him marked evens and while that may seem/is aggressive, we have eight pounds between him and his nearest rival, that being ~2.5L.

How we get there, well that's an RnS secret, but win or lose, at the price ($3.80) you won't see many better bets.

In the second event Another One lines up in one of the more competitive Highways we've seen of late.

There looks to be plenty of depth, but still very happy to swing his way.

A winner of three of his five starts, he bounced back in a big way last start when leading throughout to win comfortably.

Since kept fresh (49 days), he gets the blinkers on for the first time and has trialled very well (in blinkers) in the lead up.

I concede he is short enough in current markets and do expect him to drift, I'd say he starts closer to 2-1, if not bigger.

He is one of six last start winners engaged and suspect there will be few out there happy to oppose.

Nonetheless more than happy to be with him, he looks very well treated after Sherry's claim and has drawn to get a lovely drop on the leaders.

Clearly trending the right way and if able to continue his upward spiral, he should take plenty of beating.
