Dual stakes-placed gelding Tramonto looks well placed to make a winning return at Doomben on Saturday.

The gelding stepped up to better company over the carnival and acquitted himself well including a one-length second in the G3 Gold Coast Guineas.

He was last seen when edged out in the Listed Queensland Day Stakes in June so looks well placed in a C3.

Tramonto races well fresh and both career wins have come at this distance range so he ticks plenty of boxes.

Fuji Flyer finds some strong opposition later in the program but put the writing on the wall last start when closing well for a close third at this course and distance.

He rated well in that performance and finds a race with two well fancied and promising sprinters who both have early speed.

If they overdo it in front they could set it up for Fuji Flyer to finish over the top so he could be worth a shot at good odds.
