Sydney Specials: Randwick – 5th February 2022

Feature racing heats up at Randwick on Saturday with the Inglis Millennium and the Eskimo Prince Stakes the key highlights.

The unbeaten Sejardan currently heads the market in the 2YO feature however I have little between him and the Maher and Eustace pair, Boldinho and El Padrino.

The Team Snowden trained Paris Dior was visually very impressive at Canterbury however she had every chance to run time and she didn't.

McDonald sticks and she has a lovely profile so I get it, however I would much rather back the Maher and Eustace pair.

Paulele is one of few 1200m horses engaged in the Eskimo Prince Stakes and is the worth early favourite.

In the ninth event very keen on the Kacy Fogden trained Maotai.

Having bumped into Home Affairs (3.7L), In The Congo (0.7L) and Paulele (2.7L) at his last three starts he appears very well placed back to Bm78 company.

Not seen since finishing midfield in the Listed Heritage Stakes, he gets the blinkers on for the first time and trialled very sharp in the headgear on Monday.

Two trials should have him ready to go and while giving weight to Silent Impact he can have his measure.

From the good draw Clipperton should have little issue finding the front and he should take some catching.

Silent Impact is the main danger and suspect the two three-year-olds to fight it out.

If you are taking a Quaddie they are the only two you need in the third leg.

Joviality

The Chris Waller trained Joviality lost her way for 18 months but was back with a bang last start and can go one better in the seventh event.

Game in defeat behind impressive subsequent winner Rule Of Law, she is unbeaten in two attempts over 1300m and McDonald sticks.

Hasn't won in over 500 days but confident we can catch her on Saturday.

Simon Dinopoulos' Tips:

Race 7 #7 Joviality @ $4.00
Race 9 #10
Maotai @ $5.00
