Sydney Specials: Rosehill – 19th February 2022

Star colt Anamoe is the headline act at Rosehill as he aims to get his Autumn campaign back on track.

Beaten first up behind fellow three-year-old Overpass he will have few excuses on Saturday as he is expected to show good improvement second up and is much better suited out to 1400m.

With McDonald at Flemington Bowman takes over and with even luck he really should have their measure.

If he gets beat on Saturday though have to think the jury is out.

The Listed Parramatta Cup presents a good betting opportunity with No Compromise holding 18% of the early market.

Drawn off the track he is expected to get a long way back and have to think his chances are minimal from there.

Stablemates Mightybeel and Toomuchtobear head the market but still feel there is a bit of juice in their early quotes as Entente also looks well found at $6.50.

Mightybeel was very impressive winning the Christmas Cup two back before given 56 days between runs last start.

Dropped back to the mile he had little chance given the way the race was run and in hindsight that was merely a tune up for Saturday's event.

He is sure to appreciate the step up to 1900m and has drawn to settle much closer in the run.

Races well at home his home track and should prove very hard to beat (I will be saving on Toomuchtobear).

Siding again with the Waller stable earlier in the program with progressive three-year-old Able Willie.

Only lightly raced he was an impressive winner on debut before thrown in the deep end at his second start when third in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes.

Not often you see the Waller stable do that and from what we've seen he just looks a good horse.

Beaten first up at Canterbury however his performance held plenty of merit when a sectional star behind Sky Command.

Faces a stiff line up on Saturday but he looks to have them covered.

Bowman sticks and with the speed on up front he should be able to work home over the top of them.

Race 5 #6 Able Willie @ $3.20
Race 7 #8 Mightybeel @ $4.80
