It’s a competitive and somewhat challenging day of racing on a wet track at Doomben on Saturday but there is some each way value to be found.

One of those is Racecourse Road who looks close to a win after finishing runner up at two of three starts this time in.

He gave a great sight last start when leading and kicking on to go under by a nose last start and will be at peak fitness.

Five-time winner in the wet and if the track is favouring front runners he could be hard to catch.

Splendoronthegrass  resumes in the last of the day after taking on stakes races at all three starts of last campaign so will enjoy class 6 company.

He is a two-time fresh winner and has been readied two solid trials so could make an impact with some luck on his side.
