Singapore Racing - Weekend Review : 30th of August 2019

A quieter ride saw River Radiance bounce back in a big way on Friday night, when dominant in the third event.

Having created quite the impression on debut, River Radiance spaced his rivals at his second start, before going down at the shorts at his next outing.

Stepped up to Class 4 company, River Radiance was no match for Toosbies, though he stuck on well with a good gap back to third.

Drawn wide, Woodworth had few options but to press on, though the early worked proved telling late.

In what was a great ride from Vlad Duric, Toosbies pinched runs along the inside, before popping off River Radiance's back in the straight and letting rip.

River Radiance stuck on well once headed, but clearly appreciated taking a sit on Friday night.

Ridden to lead at his two starts prior, River Radiance performed well, but not at the level he produced on debut.

On the surface that might seem a bit rich given he was beaten, however the time figures he returned were easily the best he has produced.

Beginning well from the inside draw, River Radiance kicked up to hold his spot just off the speed in fifth.

Enjoying the strong tempo set in front, he travelled well in behind the leaders, pushing up to sit in the one-one entering the straight.

Peeling three wide into the straight, he took a while to wind up before really knuckling down the final 300m.

Hitting the front at the 200m he began to draw away and really asserted his authority late.

Ridden out to the line, he scored by 3.3L and looks destined for better company.

Now rated 75 by Timeform, he has also ticked the 1200m box and may even get further judging by his latest win.

His win further pushes the form of Surpass Natural who is already three from three — both are very promising and are a must for your blackbook.

In just his first preparation, he has already won two from four and suspect he will be even better next preparation as he still does a bit wrong.
