Darley Furious Stakes Group 2 $200,000 at Randwick, 1200m.
Highly talented filly Libertini took her record to four wins from five starts but not before causing her supporters some anxious moments.
Starting $1.18 favourite, she was given a good trip by Tommy Berry racing in third place before moving to second shortly after straightening. But she then took a long while to get the better of the leader in the sprint home, eventually fighting well to score by a short neck.
Villami went to the front, set a reasonable tempo (first 600m 35.72) before lifting the tempo from the 600m. She grabbed a break at the 300m and then battled gamely for second after running a very good race.
Let It Pour raced in last place in the seven-horse field before improving along the inner at the home turn going to fifth on straightening. She then kept battling on very well to take third in a photo, staging a very sound performance.
The New Zealand filly Probabeel , who was resuming, had a nice trip in fourth place, on the rails, most of the way and did really well in fighting on to maintain that position, beaten just over a length and a half. Kiamichi showed good pace to be second to the home turn before fading to finish (7.8 lengths) fifth at her second run back.
