Murray Bridge Races Review on 5th March 2022

A pick-up ride for the in-form Barend Vorster at the expense of injured Justin Potter saw One More Jack win the 1000 metre opening race at Murray Bridge on Saturday.

Not having won for nearly 15 months the Shane Oxlade prepared One More Jack  came from a midfield position with a strong outside run to meet with success.

Trainer David Jolly may have a nice three-year-old gelding on his hands after Two Times Twice opened his winning account in a tight finish in the 1200 metre second race.

Giving jockey Kayla Crowther her second victory in twenty-four hours Two Times Twice came from the rear of the field with a withering run down the straight.

David Jolly landed the second leg of an early running double when Larimer    Street won the 1000 metre third race.

Formerly prepared by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young at Cranbourne the Paul Gatt guided Larimer Street settled well before going on to win.

Coming off a last start second the Jessica Eaton ridden Oath of Omerta took out the 2500 metre fourth race.

Being under the care of Michael Hickmott Oath Of Omerta  raced in a forward position throughout the event.

The first starter Twin Stars opened his racing career in the best fashion when he took out the 1200 metre fifth race.

Having the services of Jake Toeroek and coming out of the Ballarat stable of Tony and Calvin McEvoy Twin Stars came from well back in the field with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy landed the second leg of a back-to-back double when Zoist took out the second feature race of the day the1400 metre sixth race.

Bringing up a double for Barend Vorster, Zoist came from a worse than midfield position to bring up his fifth win from twelve starts.

Michael Hickmott took full advantage of his home track when Munster brought up a double for his stable in the 1200 metre seventh race.

Giving Jessica Eaton her second winner for the day Munster came from a better than midfield position to take the event.

Running a lap of the track paid off for jockey Campbell Rawiller when he landed a winner on Sanblas in the 1800 metre eighth race.

Prepared by veteran trainer Peter Jolly Sanblas was well placed throughout the event.

After a long run of outs the Ryan Balfour trained Tully's Gold took out the 1600 metre final event.

Having the services of apprentice Jacob Opperman Tully's Gold was well placed.
