Morphettville Races Review on 30th July 2022

The rising three-year-old Nishikado kept his winning run in tact when he took out the 1050 metre opening event at Morphettville on Saturday.

Having the services of Todd Pannell, the Richard and Chantelle Jolly prepared Nishikado settled well in a midfield position before going on to record a convincing win.

Jason Benbow kept his good strike rate up since making the move to Adelaide from Melbourne when he steered Bubble Over  to a win in the 1100 meter second race.

Coming off a last start second Bubble Over came from a midfield position to open her winning account at start number four.

Coming off a previous start six at Sandown Miss Gobcain returned to the winner's list when she took out the 1800 metre third race.

Ridden by Barend Vorster and prepared by Mark Webb at Cranbourne Miss Gobcain came from a near last position to power home late in the event.

Being first up after a spell Pindaric  brought up an early double for Todd annell in the 1100 metre fourth race.

Trained by Michael Hickmott at Murray Bridge Pindaric came from a midfield position to meet with success.

The Jake Stephens prepared Melody Man retuned to form when he took out the 1600 metre fifth race.

Steered to victory by Lachlan Neindorf and coming off a last start eighth Melody Man was well placed.

Apprentice Lachlan Neindorf scored the second leg of a running double when he steered Prince Jofra  to success in the 1600 metre sixth race.

Extending the good run of trainer Garret Lynch Prince Jofra was not very far off the pace in scoring his third win form fifteen starts.

The win of Zarace gave his trainer Ken Sweeney a welcome change of luck when the gelding took out the 1050 metre seventh race.

Having the services of Caitlin Jones Zarace came from well back to power home late in the event to score his first win in over 1040 days.

Todd Pannell landed his third winner for the day when Extremely Lucky took out the listed Lightning Stakes which was contested over 1050 metres.

Prepared by Will Clarken Extremely Lucky came from the rear of the field on the home turn with a withering run to win.

Jason Holder celebrated his birthday in good fashion and rounded of the racing season when he rode Pimm's Party to a win in the 1200 metre final event.

Prepared by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas Pimm's Party came from well back to bring up his first win after resuming from a spell.
