Morphettville Races Review on 13th August 2022

Having his second run after a spell Alpha Flight continued the good run of the father and daughter training team of Richard and Chantelle Jolly when he took out the 1100 metre opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.

Guided to victory by apprentice Ben Price , Alpha Flight  streaked away from his opposition after leading all the way.

Jockey Ryan Hurdle kept up his good form when he st5eered Born to Run to success in the 1100 metre second race.

Coming out of the Morphettville stable of John Hyam Born to Run settled last before making a strong run late in the event to win.

Apprentice Logan McNeil brought up his first Adelaide win when he steered France's Boy to a win in the 1600 metre third race.

Being under the care of John Hickmott and Carina Riggs, France's Boy showed his rivals a clean pair of heels when he led all the way.

Veteran trainer Ken Sweeney was well pleased with the win of Zarace in the 1050 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Caitlin Jones Zarace began swell and settled two off the pace before meeting with success.

Jockey Jessica Eaton landed her second winner for the new season when Next Dimension took out the 1200 metre fifth race.

Trained on the course by Paula Trenwith Next Dimension came from well back with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Coming off a last start third Ichibansan gave jockey Jason Holder success in the 2000 metre sixth race.

Prepared by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas Ichibansan was well placed in winning his sixth race from twenty-five starts.

Calypso Reign landed his third win in succession when he took out the 1200 metre Group 3 Spring Stakes which was run over 1200 metres.

Being under the care of David Jolly the Kayla Crowther ridden Calypso reign came from a midfield position to give Jooy his fourth success in the feature event.

Ryan Hurdle brought up his second win for the day when Ziggy Rocks took out the 1600 metre eighth race.

Continuing the good run of Murray Bridge trainer Garret Lynch Ziggy Rocks came from a worse than midfield position to bring up his first win in 350 days.

The newly formed training partnership of Greg Lesnikowski and Ryan Hannemann landed its second winner in three days when Saville took out the 1100 metre final event.

Giving jockey Ryan Hurdle his third winner for the day and a running double Saville came from well back with a strong run down the outside of the field late in the event.
