Local amateur Harrison Crowe shares the NSW Open halfway lead with Victorian pro Blake Collyer at 14 under at Sydney's Concord GC.

Young Sydney amateur Harrison Crowe has shot a second straight seven-under 64 at Concord to share the halfway lead in the NSW Open golf championship.

The 20-year-old had seven birdies in what he described as a "pretty cruisy" round and is locked on top at 14 under with Victorian pro Blake Collyer, who fired a tournament-best 62 in Friday's benign conditions.

They are two shots clear of Deyen Lawson, Dimi Papadatos, Jarryd Felton and Jordan Zunic after all four shot 66s.

Crowe won the most recent NSW Amateur title and also the Australian Master of the Amateurs in January and he isn't shrinking at the possibility of holding off the pros to win on Sunday.

"Absolutely. It's at the front of the mind, not the back of the mind," said Crowe, who missed just one green in regulation on Friday.

"I came out here this week not to just make the cut or a top-10. I wanted to win.

"I've put myself in a position to do that and I've just got to take it as it comes and keep playing the same golf I've been playing."

He is bidding to become the third amateur to win the NSW Open this century following Rick Kulacz in 2006 and Ben Eccles in 2015.

Collyer, 25, stormed around the course with eight birdies and an eagle at the par-four fifth hole, when he holed his wedge shot from 79 metres.
