Australian Kieran Woolley has produced a stunning run in the Men's Skateboard Park final to secure gold at the X Games.

Australian teenager Kieran Woolley has taken out gold at the X Games in California after a scintillating run in the Men's Skateboard Park final.

Woolley finished fifth at last year's Olympics, making headlines along the way for accidentally knocking over a cameraman after landing a trick.

It was a far smoother run for Woolley at the X Games on Sunday, where the 18-year-old produced a stunning array of moves to win gold.

Woolley, who won silver at his maiden X Games in Japan earlier this year, started his set on Sunday with a huge aerial move that sent the crowd wild and drew a call of "Oh my goodness" from one stunned commentator.

Woolley continued his aggressive approach, landing moves such as a big backside 540 nosegrab, alley-oop lipslide up extension, varial kickflip gap to extension, and a Miller flip among others.

American Gavin Bottger won silver, while Brazilian Luiz Francisco edged out Australian Keegan Palmer to take bronze.

"Everybody's skating was just next level, the competition was ridiculous," Woolley told ESPN.

"I am so honoured to take this away with me. I just put a smile on my face and went out there and had fun.

"I didn't really care about the result. Yeah, it worked."
