Cronulla's Matt Moylan has agreed to a new two-year deal at the club after enjoying a second coming at the Sharks.

Matt Moylan has recommitted to Cronulla on a two-year contract after enjoying a career revival under Craig Fitzgibbon.

The five-eighth has battled with injury in his five-year stint with the Sharks but has returned to his best form in 2022, contributing three tries in 16 games.

The Sharks are currently fourth on the NRL ladder and Moylan's form alongside Nicho Hynes has been one of the big factors in Cronulla's emergence as premiership contenders.

"It's exciting times moving forward and I'm really looking forward to the opportunity," Moylan said.

"I'm really excited about playing some good footy leading into the back end of the year.

"I'm looking forward to contribute over the next couple of years, to keep improving and doing my job for the team."
