Burnley vs Brighton tips: Great escape dreams to continue

Burnley will be looking to rekindle their fading Premier League survival hopes when Brighton make the trip to Turf Moor this Saturday (1500 BST).

The Clarets looked dead in the water at the start of March as they sat level on points with bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United.

Suddenly, something clicked and Vincent Kompany's men went on a four-match unbeaten run which saw them pick up six vital points.

That newly found momentum came to an end last weekend as Burnley were beaten 1-0 by relegation rivals Everton.

That result certainly hurt Burnley's survival chances – but it hasn't ended them just yet.

Kompany's men still have six matches remaining to save their season, starting this Saturday against Brighton.

Speaking of the Seagulls, this is arguably the best time to play Roberto De Zerbi's side. Brighton have only picked up two wins from their last nine games across all competitions and they're currently on a three-match winless run.

European football appears a tad out of their reach, meaning Brighton's motivation levels won't be close to the ones over in the Burnley camp.

We're backing the hosts to capitalise on that and pick up just their fifth win in the Premier League this season.

The Clarets to win by a single goal margin is the way to go. Both teams to score is another option considering this has landed in four of Burnley's last six games at home.

Team news

Burnley head into this fixture without Luca Koleosho, Aaron Ramsey, Nathan Redmond and the suspended Dara O'Shea.

Brighton, meanwhile, are missing Billy Gilmour, Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March, James Milner, Kaoru Mitoma and Adam Webster.
