The Toffees have finally enjoyed some good news as their 10-point deduction was downgraded to six upon an appeal.

This may not sound like much, but with those extra four points taking Everton up to 15th, it certainly takes a lot of pressure off in the relegation battle.

Sean Dyche and his men are now five points clear of the drop zone and they can enhance their position even further with a victory over West Ham this weekend.

The Irons have also enjoyed a good week as their eight-match winless run finally came to an end courtesy of a 4-2 victory over Brentford.

Despite their recent struggles, West Ham are still in the fight for European places and trail sixth-placed Manchester United by just five points.

With the Red Devils taking on Man City away at the Etihad, this could be an opportunity for the Irons to close in on their rivals.

For David Moyes, this weekend is also an opportunity to improve his standing with the West Ham faithful, with some sections of the fanbase still calling for his head.

Moyes may receive a warmer reaction from Everton fans than West Ham before the start of the game, though a victory would undoubtedly put him back in the good books as his side look to mount a winning run.

Everton might be struggling but they remain a tough side to crack. From their last nine games across all competitions, the Toffees have only suffered two defeats – one of those coming against Manchester City.

Six of the last seven head-to-head meetings between Everton and West Ham ended with a one-goal winning margin.

We're backing a similarly tight game, with both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Team news

Everton are still without Dele Alli and Arnaut Danjuma. There are also question marks over Lewis Dobbin, Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana.

David Moyes, meanwhile, has a fully fit squad at his disposal.
