Nottingham Forest went down 1-0 to Man Utd in the FA Cup on Wednesday, but the score wasn't reflective of the visitor's superiority over 90 minutes.

The hosts failed to create any real chances of note despite firing off 16 half chances and were fortunate to not have trailed sooner than the 89th minute.

Liverpool are dealing with the biggest injury crisis in the Premier League but that didn't prevent the Reds from lifting the Carabao Cup and progressing in the FA Cup.

Jurgen Klopp made numerous changes on Wednesday, including handing starts to young scorers Louie Koumas and Jayden Danns, and his options remain limited here

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have won one of their previous 11 matches so it's no surprise the Reds are emphatic favourites in their current form.

Klopp's side are still riding high from their Wembley win which extended their unbeaten run to five. They've suffered just one defeat in their previous 17 across all competitions.

No other team in the Premier League could afford to be without their first-choice front three and still field an attack that has a combined 42 goal contributions, but Liverpool can.

On the other hand, Forest aren't getting enough production out of anyone just yet. The City Ground was a fortress last year, but they've won four of 17 in all competitions.

We've reached a stage of the season where the Reds will need to be nearly perfect to hold on to the top spot, and they simply cannot drop points to a team in a relegation fight.

Team news

Ola Aina, Nuno Tavares and Chris Wood will miss this match while Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare are attempting to recover from AFCON duty.

Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Allison Becker, Stefan Bajcetic, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch and Thiago Alcantara are ruled out, while Dominik Szoboszlai is a doubt.

Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo are also expected to miss out but Andy Robertson, Darwin Nunez and Alexis Mac Allister are available.
