Murray Bridge racecourse is situated 80km south east of Adelaide in South Australia close to the Murray River.

Murray Bridge Racing Club was established in 1899 and held its first race meeting on the current course in 1914.

Murray Bridge racecourse has an oval circumference of 1850m, sweeping turns and an excellent home straight of 420m.

Races are run over distances from 900m to 2400m. Three starting chutes cater for races over 900m, 1600m and 2400m.

Murray Bridge Racing Club holds the Murray Bridge Gold Cup mid-October along with other meetings through the year.

The 2018 Murray Bridge Cup was won by Von Costa Glass at $31.

However the biggest record of the Murray Bridge Cup is from the Adelaide gelding Excites Zelady who the Cup in 2014, 2015 and again in 2017.
