In the latest episode of This Racing Life, we visit Yorkshire to visit a couple of yards and a pop in to the Knavesmire itself ahead of the Dante Festival, the season-opening fixture of the year at York racecourse.

Jessica Bedi is one of the youngest members of the training ranks and was the youngest licenced trainer in the country when she was given a licence a few years ago. She speaks to us about her path into the racing and the training ranks and what her ambitions are for her yard for this season and beyond.

We also speak to Richard Fahey on whatg preparations have been like for the start of the 2024 campaign as well as a fantastic winter of adventure with Frankel gelding Spirit Dancer, owned by Ged Mason and Sir Alex Ferguson, who has flown the flag for Musley Bank with fantastic victories and big performances out in Bahrain and Dubai.

Finally, William Derby of York racecourse outlines the changes at York racecourse since we last saw it at the back-end of last season as well as the changes to the race programme this year for a racecourse every evolving, including a boost to the now-£1.25m Juddmonte International at the Ebor Festival in August.
