Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 26.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Ascot, Avoca, Cairns, Doomben, Mornington and Morphettville
ROSEHILL: RACE 5 @ 2:35 PM
ANNAVISTO (7) went like a rocket first up when making a mess of them at Flemington. Returned a clear new career peak and is open to further improvement stepping up to 1500m. Will have no concerns with the track and looks to get a lovely trail just off the speed. Very well placed at the weights and should take plenty of beating. PROMISE OF SUCCESS (10) has improved with every run this time in and should be right at her peak fourth up. Faces a tough ask against the first two but still has to be included. EXPAT (5) should lead, next best.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Annavisto.

ASCOT: RACE 8 @ 4:50 PM
CONSTANT DREAMING (1) was far too good for a similar field after racing right on the speed in the Natasha. No reason why she can't repeat the performance. FEELS DANISH (2) was game in the same race after drawing wide and going forward. Wide gate again but hard to ignore. MRS AMERICA (3) had her chance behind the top two there fourth-up from a break. Won't be too far away again. Next best ARCADIA GEM (10) and PRIVATE SCENE (5) but there are other place chances.
SELECTIONS: Constant Dreaming to win. 1-2,3,5,10/2,3,5,10.
AVOCA: RACE 9 @ 5:11 PM
CALLIGRAPHER (1) produced an excellent effort on home track in much tougher race last time. Rises in weight here but a win is near. Gets that chance here. RUNAMIGO (5) hit the line well over a shorter trip at Moe last time. Better placed with the rise in trip here and won't be too far away. DIDIER (4) wasn't at home on the heavy track at Colac two runs back before running a sound race at Geelong last time out. Is nicely off in a race like this. Don't discard. TURF FLYER (2) broke through for his maiden win last start at Stony Creek last time and may be able to go on with the good work here.
SELECTIONS: Back Calligrapher to win
CAIRNS: RACE 7 @ 2:57 PM
IMPEACHER (3) is racing well enough and though being beaten as a favourite at his last two outings, hasn't been far away. This is a very thin race form wise and he should be shedding his maiden status today. SWANKY SUE (5) looks to be the only danger to the top selection after a solid effort for third fresh up. She should continue to improve and from the pole position should get the run of the race. Include in all multiples. LORD OF LIGHT (4) got going too late when finishing third fresh up at Atherton. He started favourite that day and this field doesn't look to be any stronger. He will appreciate the extra distance and can make his presence felt. STEPPING UP (6) finished third fresh up when last tried and though she did nothing in her next two runs, the break would have done her the world of good. Include in all multiples.
SELECTIONS: Impeacher win bet.
DOOMBEN: RACE 6 @ 3:07 PM
AIDENSFIELD (13) made a good return when he raced on pace and chased well for second at Eagle Farm. Has yet to miss a place second up and steps up to the distance that has produced both of his wins. Nicely drawn and looks well placed. MAGIC RULER (9) showed some good Sydney form last campaign including a Rosehill win three back. Now with Michael Costa and will be ready to go after two trials, winning the latest. SMART IMAGE (5) failed to feature first up but is capable and remains under strong notice on best form.
SELECTIONS: Aidensfield to win off a strong return.
MORNINGTON: RACE 6 @ 3:35 PM
PONDUS (2) was okay in the slow Blamey that didn't play to his strengths but he exploded last time up to 2000m at Flemington, spacing a solid field and returning to something like his best form. Now he goes to 2400m which is his ideal trip and on the quick turnaround he looks the one to be with again. Think he can keep the improving CRYSTAL PEGASUS (4) at bay despite the upward curve that one is on. Kept closing powerfully up in trip last time and he has a bigger win in him based on that. SACRAMENTO (3) quickly returned to his best last time after a plain return. Won the Canberra Cup from the front and can be fitter again. DEFIBRILLATE (1) was behind Pondus after winning well fresh. Respected along with Canberra Cup second DADOOZDART (6) who runs for last year's winning connections.
SELECTIONS: Backing Pondus to back up and win again.
MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 3 @ 1:22 PM
SANBLAS (1) is going super and was a soft winner at Murray Bridge last time out. He draws wide but gets the claim and is a clear top pick. PRINCE OF FENCES (7) is a nice type who bolted in to win his maiden and was good behind Sanblas last time. FRENCH WAR (5) is lightly raced and won his maiden at Benalla on debut before an OK effort at Ballarat. The jump in trip looks ideal. ALL HARD WOOD (3) doesn't run too many bad races and tried hard behind Comfort Girl last week. He draws an awkward barrier but won't be far away. A PINCH OF LUCK (10) was a Sale winner two starts back and made good ground last time at Echuca.
SELECTIONS: Sanblas to win again.
