The famous Cheltenham roar is just hours away as one of the year's most anticipated racing festivals begins today.
The feature race on Day 1 is the fourth event – Grade 1 Champion Hurdle over 3298 metres, and our best bet is in the sixth race, the Grade 3 Juvenile Hurdle.
CHELTENHAM – Race 4 No. 10 – Honeysuckle ($1.60, Ladbrokes)
Superstar mare HONEYSUCKLE aims to stretch her unbeaten record to fifteen. Looked as good as ever running out a 6.5L winner of the Irish Champion last month and is in receipt of 3.5kg from the boys. Looks set to record her second success in this event.
CHELTENHAM – Race 6 No. 6 – Gaelic Warrior ($3.20, Ladbrokes)
GAELIC WARRIOR appears to have been saved for this since arriving from France. The form of his two Auteuil placings looks very strong and it would be no surprise if he were to find success as a well handicapped horse.
