Day 1 provided the thrills we expect from the Cheltenham Festival and now we roll on to Day 2 with an old favourite as our best of the day.

The feature race on Day 2 is the fourth race – Grade 1 Queen Mother Champion Chase over 3199 metres, and our best bet is in the fifth event, the Cross Country Steeplechase over 6069 metres.

CHELTENHAM – Race 4 No. 7 – Shishkin ($1.85, Ladbrokes)

A mouth-watering rematch between SHISHKIN (7) and ENERGUMENE (2) that can once again go the way of the Nicky Henderson-trained star. Plenty went wrong for him in the G1 Clarence House Chase at Ascot however he still had too many gears for the latter eventually running him down by 1L. The re-opposing Energumene will definitely make a bold bid once more and is expected to provide the main danger.

CHELTENHAM – Race 5 No. 15 – Tiger Roll ($2.70, Ladbrokes)

TIGER ROLL (15) has won three of the past four renewals of this event including by 18L last year. This will have been the target for a long time and recent efforts over hurdles and regulation fences are best ignored. The yard continues to be extremely bullish about his work and so long as the ground remains on the good side will take beating.

TAKE THE R&S DOUBLE with Ladbrokes: $4.99
