Four Wheel Drive, a Grade 2 winning son of Coolmore Australia shuttler American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) will stand the 2021 breeding season in Japan after being secured by Thoroughbred Breeders Club in Monbetsu, Hokkaido.

Trained by Wesley Ward, Four Wheel Drive won three of his four career starts including the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (Gr 2, 6f) at Santa Anita in 2019 and the Belmont Futurity (Gr 3, 6f).

Bought for US$525,000 at the 2018 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale, Four Wheel Drive is out of the Listed winning More Than Ready (Southern Halo) mare Funfair and from the family of Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile Stakes (Gr 1,8f) winner Furthest Land (Smart Strike).
