Fire King breaks his maiden at Townsville
The Clear Mountain Fairview-based sire Worthy Cause (Choisir) notched up his fourth winner when Fire King (2 g ex Princess Cinders by Outback Prince) broke his maiden over 1300 metres at Townsville on Tuesday.
Fire King was passed in for $16,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale last year when offered by Clear Mountain Fairview and he had placed in four of his five prior starts.
Worthy Cause has sired three other winners in Ain't She Lovely, Hinged and Constant Cause from only six runners.
