Russian Revolution’s sister added to Millions

Sister to dual Group 1 winner and successful stallion available at National Sale.

Russian Revolution.

A sister to Russian Revolution has been added to this year's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, which will be held on the Gold Coast next week.

Ballet De Joie, an unraced three-year-old, was on Monday announced as a supplementary addition to the sale that kicks off next Tuesday.

By Snitzel out of the Stravinsky mate Ballet D'amour, Ballet De Joie is not only a sister to the Oakleigh Plate and The Galaxy winner who was last year crowned Australia's leading first-season sire, but also a half-sister to Miss Interiors, who is the dam of Home Affairs.

Home Affairs is a son of I Am Invincible and Ballet De Joie will be offered in-foal to Yarraman Park's champion stallion.

I Am Invincible will this year stand for $302,500 and buyers on the Gold Coast will also have a chance to buy a lifetime breeding right to the reigning Australian Champion Sire who is hurtling towards back-to-back titles.

The breeding right entitles the owner to one nomination each calendar year to I Am Invincible, who enjoyed another brilliant yearling sale season with a $2.7 million colt out of Anaheed and a $2.5 million Booker colt among his headline lots in 2023.

Stallion shares in Widden's star freshman stallion Jacquinot, who will stand for $33,000, and Rosemont Stud's Extreme Warrior, a son of $275,000 stallion Extreme Choice, will also be offered.

The National Broodmare Sale starts with the race fillies and mares next Tuesday with broodmares to follow the next two days.
