Inglis announced on Friday that a total of 339 yearlings have been catalogued for their Gold Yearling Sale which will be held at Oaklands on May 16 and 17.

"Graduates include the likes of Lunar Fox, Malaguerra, I'll Have A Bit, Mahamedeis, Gold Fields etc, all of whom could have been bought at affordable prices and this year's catalogue is as strong as the company has ever offered," Inglis' Victorian bloodstock manager James Price said.

"There is great demand for well-credentialed stock in Australia at the moment and for good reason – prize money levels are so strong and the racing industry has never been healthier.

"It's great fun being involved in racehorse ownership, be it at a high level or having just a small percentage in a cheaper horse and I've got no doubt there will be countless success stories emerge from this Gold Sale catalogue in years to come.''

Of the lots catalogued, 184 are Super VOBIS nominated and sires represented include Dundeel (High Chaparral), Deep Field (Northern Meteor), Sebring (More Than Ready), So You Think (High Chaparral), Shamus Award (Snitzel), Smart Missile (Fastnet Rock) and Written Tycoon (Iglesia).

In addition to the proven sires, young stallions including Capitalist (Written Tycoon), Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt), Flying Artie (Artie Schiller) and Frosted (Tapit) are all represented. Yearlings from the first crops of Highland Reel (Galileo), Merchant Navy (Fastnet Rock) and Russian Revolution (Snitzel) are also catalogued.
