Yann Barberot's colt arrived on the back of a commanding victory in the Listed Prix Roland de Chambure at Deauville in July and ultimately took the step up to Group 3 level in his stride.

The son of Lope De Vega was sent off the 30/100 market leader to complete the four-timer and short-price backers had little worry as Maxime Guyon eased his mount to the front inside the final furlong.

Andre Fabre's Evade stuck on well from the rear of the field but was never able to get on terms with the runaway winner, who had a length to spare at the line.

The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Havana Cigar finished a further neck behind under Cristian Demuro back in third.

A step up to the top level could be on the cards for Gitte Allaire's [winning owner] with a tilt at the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on Arc Day the potential next target.

Gitte Allaire told Sky Sports Racing: "I'm so delighted, how lucky we are to have such a young prospect that is winning all the time. I hope it is just the beginning of a long story,"

"He [Guyon] was very satisfied, he said he could have done whatever he wanted him to do, and I want to congratulate Yann Barberot and the whole team.

"The horse is really cool, and he did the job, but he can do so much more.

"It's always a dream when you have a good horse, and we are so happy and lucky."

Paddy Power cut the winner from 12/1 to 9/1 for the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket but it seems likely he will remain on home soil for his next outing.
