Peptide Nile upsets the February Stakes Field

Unfancied runner Peptide Nile ran away with the Dirt G1 at Tokyo.

He was the 11th pick in the field and started at around 40/1 but it was upsets all round when the  second spot went to Gaia Force 12/1, having his first race on dirt, and Sekifu at 47/1.  Fourth home was Tagano Beauty on 16/1.  The trio was substantial, the trifecta (correct order in Japan) was enough to retire on and if you had the pick 4 you could probably buy the race course.

This means that Peptide Nile has an entry for the Breeders' Cup should they choose to go.
