2022 CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Strong pace likely with Dimaggio Joe, Slipper Island and Count Da Beans keen to take up the running. Unbeaten colt CAPITAL TOWER (3) faces his biggest test but has yet to put a foot wrong. Two of his three wins have come when fresh and is already proven at this distance. Expect him to be wound up and he can step up to Group level.
Hard to knock EXO LADY (13) who made it four wins from five starts when leading and digging deep for a Listed win first up. Unbeaten in three attempts here and is a big chance again. COUNT DA BEANS (12) started a hot favourite on debut and was a class above at Grafton. This is stronger but he looks talented.
BRERETON (2) wasn't far away when resuming and the addition of blinkers can improve him. POLITICAL DEBATE (18) can progress off a promising debut placing in Sydney.
