2022 STRADBROKE HANDICAP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Loads of pace with Buffalo River, Apache Chase and Emerald Kingdom all pushing forward from their low draws. ELEVEN ELEVEN (4) is peaking at the right time. He has run on to get close at both starts this time in, just missing when third in the Kingsford Smith Cup. That will have brought him to peak fitness and he has a 50 per cent strike rate at this longer distance. Has never missed a place here and from a favourable draw looks hard to hold out.
ALLIGATOR BLOOD (5) showed a sign of his old self when running on to miss by a nose first up. Draws out but he has won three of five second-up attempts and four of six tries at the distance. APACHE CHASE (3) led and clung on in the Kingsford Smith and the low draw suits his style of racing. His course and distance statistics are impressive.
AYRTON (11) pulled up lame last start to follow the fresh win. Kah goes back on having won four of five rides on him and he hasn't missed a place at 1400m. VILANA (17) is progressive and could measure up under the light weight.
