2022 LIGHTNING STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Pace on from the outset with Royal Dress, Unflinching and I Am Bene pushing forward, closely attended by Mietta and Keep Reading. Good race. EXTREMELY LUCKY (5) is an exciting horse who was desperately unlucky first up last time in before an equally unlucky run in the G2 Tobin Bronze Stakes. He atoned before a spell with a big win over this track and distance and looks right up to these.
SCORCHED EARTH (6) is the proven performer. She won her first two last time in before an excellent second in the G3 Kevin Hayes Stakes behind Argentia. KALLOS (1) is a tricky one. His win the G2 Danehill Stakes says he's good enough but form around that is just fair. He has trialled well. UNFLINCHING (2) is suited by the short course. He won three in a row to start his career and likely takes up the running. He'll take plenty of running down at a price.
