Winning Trainer: Clinton Taylor

Weight of expectation: "There was a bit of pressure on given the short price. But no horse in Queensland deserves a win more than this girl. She's been so consistent, it's a massive team effort including my wife, who was cheering on from home."

What she means to you: "For a horse like this to come into my career so early on, it means the world to me. This horse and Justin are two of the best things that have happened to me, I'm so lucky and proud to have them both in my stable.

Any tricks to her?: "She likes her runs spaced out, because she hasn't always been the soundest horse. That could be a trait of the Spirit of Booms or it could be her."

Winning Jockey: Justin Stanley

Always confident?: "It looked to be her race to lose today, especially when Lady Laguna franked the form with her win at Randwick. It was a big drop in class, she had a good gate and she goes well fresh, so all the signs were good but she still had to do it on the track and it worked out perfectly."

Strong pace suited her: "I was pretty happy when they went hard up front, because she was a bit keen in the trial the other day so we needed a strong speed to help her relax. We were going to try to jump and lead, but I was happy to take a sit when I saw how hard they were going early."

Best fresh?: "She hadn't raced since the Magic Millions, so she was first-up after a brief let-up and she really thrived. She's had a few little issues throughout her career, but Clinto knows her inside out so you trust he knows what's best for her. He manages so well, and she seems to race at her best with her runs spaced out so hopefully she can pick off a nice race during the Winter Carnival."
