Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Murray Bridge,Toowoomba,Flemington and Ascot,

RANDWICK: RACE 2 @ 12:55 PM

The first of the Group races on the card, the $300,000 Group 2 Reisling Stakes for the two-year-old fillies. RUSSIAN CONQUEST (1) hasn't done much wrong to start her career with wins here and at Newcastle before beating all but Coolangatta in the Magic Millions on the Gold Coast. Gets Berry back in the irons and is expected to be right there in the finish. GREECE (7) is a full-sister to dual-Group 1 winner Loving Gaby and has set tongues wagging with two impressive Rosehill trial wins. McDonald was in the saddle for both and sticks. Can measure up on debut. SEVEN VEILS (5) hit the line strongly on debut and will have taken plenty of benefit from that day at the races. In the mix. OJAI (2) has been thereabouts in both Rosehill runs this time in and will appreciate getting back to Randwick. One for the multiples.
SELECTIONS: Russian Conquest to win.

As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Randwick Computer Card.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 7 @ 4:02 PM

QUIETLY DISCREET (4) will be back here but the long straight will suit and she can run over the top. She was easily able to get up resuming but this journey will suit even better. HE'S EXCLUSIVE (9) clearly had something go awry at Camperdown. All his prior form in country Victoria was so consistent. BLUESTONE LANE (6) found a good horse too much a month ago. Races best when on the fresh side. YOUNG JIMMY (2) is very hard to knock. Winners keep on winning as the saying goes. CHILL WITH TEEJAY (10) was very sound at Moonee Valley three weeks back.
SELECTIONS: Stick with Quietly Discreet.

TOOWOOMBA: RACE 9 @ 4:28 PM

RACECOURSE ROAD (2) gave a big sight last start when leading and fighting well to be grabbed on the line. That was his second placing from three runs this time in and will be ready to hit peak fitness. VINCO (8) ran on well when resuming with a fourth. The extra 150m suits so can make further headway. GOGOL (5) has put two wins together and hasn't missed a place at this venue. Must be a big chance to land the hat trick. STUTTERING (12) placed last start and has each way claims.
SELECTIONS: Racecourse Road to hit his peak. Backing each way.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

Struggle to find a better placed horse anywhere across Australia today than OVERPASS (1) who returns to Flemington where he ran really well in the Coolmore at the back of the spring. Better horse now, winning the Expressway first up - that form standing right up since - and it took one of the best sprinters in the land to top him last start. Runs to that form and these are in big trouble! ABLE WILLIE (9) also comes down from Sydney. Nothing like the same formlines but he has been good in two this prep and this looks a nice option for him. Similar story SHADOW DEVIL (11). Unbeaten and time last start was good enough to think he could measure up to this. SNEAKY FIVE (4) might not have beaten a lot but she rounded them up from last fresh in the spring after a long break. Have to be wary of her.
SELECTIONS: Overpass should handle these.

ASCOT: RACE 9 @ 5:42 PM

BRAGWELL (9) is bursting to win a race and was a touch unlucky behind a promising type here three weeks back. Drawn okay and looks an each-way special. PHONEME (4) was back in the winner's stall third-up with a strong finishing Belmont win off a wide gate. Definite chance. SERENITY BAY (1) is back in class after a midfield finish at Listed level. Nicely weighted and can't be overlooked. DOWNFORCE (2) and BUSTER BASH (7) are definite chances.
SELECTIONS: Bragwell each-way special.
