Good day for the Skeltons.

They managed a big race double with Grey Dawning in the first and  Protektorat in the Ryanair Chase.

The Stayers Hurdle saw a very talented Teahupoo have too good as finish for poor Flooring Porter now a 9yo who nevertheless ran a cracker - he's by Yeats and did better than his noble brother.

In the Ryanair Envoi Allen was second with Conflated third.

Friday sees the running of the the 100th Gold Cup Chase but before that we have the Mullins team back in action in the Triumph Hurdle and the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle. The Mullins horses seem to make up most of the field in both. In the Triumph he has Majborough on 7/2, Storm Heart 9/2, Kargese 6/1 and our roughie Highwind 25/1 with Racheal Blackmore riding.

In the Bartlett Series Readin Tommy Wrong has Paul Townsend on board as they go for their 5th win in a row and also heading for a similar number is   Harry Fry's  Gidleigh Park on 5/1.  Add recent Dublin winner Dancing City 8/1 and a new roughie Spread Boss Ted 50/1 at the moment but we can't see a Mullins horse going off at that price!

The Gold Cup has Galopin des Champs on 11/10 for Mullins-Townsend.  Those brave enough  to oppose are looking at Gerri Colombe 8/1, Fasterorslow 6/1 and our roughie Jungle Boogie 40/1 de Bromhead.
