Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Moonee Valley, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Ascot.

ROSEHILL: RACE 8 @ 4:40 PM

Top edition of the Golden Slipper. Group 2 winner STORM BOY (1) is undefeated in four runs and was seven weeks between starts when a comfortable 1.4 len win as fav over 1200m in the G2 Skyline at Randwick on March 2. At his peak now and should remain undefeated. SWITZERLAND (7) is another undefeated in three runs who keeps raising the bar at each start. Rounded them up effortlessly when a dominant winner of the G2 Todman Stakes at Randwick on March 9. Will relish the good tempo and sure to be strong late. LADY OF CAMELOT (14) was sent to Melbourne after winning the Widden in good style when nailed late to finish second over 1200m in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield. Since fitted with a slashing trial win over 800m at Hawkesbury. Value play. Group 2 winner STRAIGHT CHARGE (6) is yet to finish out of the money in four runs. Went out hard and collared late when second in the G2 Todman Stakes at Randwick. Can sneak into the minor money.
SELECTIONS: Storm Boy to win.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 1 @ 12:05 PM

MARQUESS (1) was good behind an in-form horse first up at Randwick before an even effort at Rosehill when poorly suited back in trip. Straight up to 2040m now but that really should suit and he looks to get control of this from the inside draw. MAGNASPIN (4) was just fair behind a very good horse in Another Wil last start at Flemington. The run prior was good and the rise in trip looks suitable now. FLOSSING (2) resumed with a good win at Morphettville over 1600m. Strips fitter and must be a chance off that. ARISTONOUS (5) struggles to win but should be better suited up in trip and has the class. UP AND UNDER (3) can strip fitter but does need to improve.
SELECTIONS: Marquess to win.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 5 @ 2:27 PM

OUTWEIGHED (1) gave a big sight last start when she led and kicked on for second behind a smart mare at Gold Coast. Owns an impressive strike rate at this distance, winning five of seven attempts. Top chance. HEARTONI (3) improved his rating second-up when he scored at Sunshine Coast Poly. Has a very good record over the journey with three wins and two placings from six starts. Another bold showing is expected. MALABOOM (4) has been freshened since a first-up placing but has trialled. Races well second-up and won her lone attempt here so can make an impact.
SELECTIONS: Outweighed to add to a strong record at this distance.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 3 @ 1:22 PM

THE MANSMAN (4) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying, placing in 5/6. Only has to hold his form to get the verdict. PROVEN CORRECT (3) lengthened nicely in the lane to resume a winner at Murray Bridge. Tougher this time but he's sure to have improved with that run under the belt and the rise in trip shouldn't bother. Right in this. ENCIPHERING (9) is yet to strike through this time in but expect him to be more focused with the blinkers going on for the first time. Sharp improvement anticipated. WARLORDS (1) showed good early toe at the latest and fought hard in the lane to score by a head. Comes in fresh and steps out an extra 200m. Has ability but worth treading carefully off that set up. Let the late money tell the story. ARTFUL TAWNY (8) strips fitter third up and gets weight relief. Don't underestimate.
SELECTIONS: Backing The Mansman to win.

ASCOT: RACE 6 @ 3:35 PM

Honouring the old marvel Rock Magic in this event but it looks like up-and-comer WILD BELLE (7) is the one to beat. Brilliant in the Miss Andretti last time we saw her on January 17th and hasn't been seen publicly since. Looking for a slot in The Quokka and can put her best foot forward as she moves onto bigger and better races. GEMMA'S SON (1) sustained plenty of pace in the Bluff Knoll to pull away and win impressively at Albany. Paul Harvey has had plenty of success when riding previously and he has the pace to offset the draw. Can play a major role. REAL DANGER (6) may have found the 1300m journey a bridge too far 27 days ago and getting back to this distance can see her at her peak. Nicely placed for Parnham and a return to her best form will see her right in the finish. SNOWDOME (2) has disappointed either side of a break but his best is certainly good enough to feature. Just needs to find it now. PETULA (8) is another on the way up and can be flashing late.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Wild Belle.
