The ever consistent Emerald Kingdom gets his chance to put another win on the board when he lines up in Saturday’s Sunshine Coast Cup.
The six-year-old is racing well and has the hoof on the till following back-to-back placings in good events.
Emerald Kingdom led and gave a sight when third in The Buffering last start and had gone close when edged out by a head in the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes two back.
He races well at 1400m and while he does have to carry the top weight, jockey Michael Rodd should secure him the right run from gate four.
Rodd is also aboard handy filly Mishani Enchanted who should relish a step up in trip earlier in the program.
The two-year-old has found the line well to finish fourth at her last two runs at 1050m and 1100m but was an Ipswich winner at her only attempt at 1200m two back and she is looking for the journey again.
She had little luck last time when copping several checks and with better fortune can atone.
