Miss Federer wins N Z B’stock Canterbury Belle Listed, NZ$50,000 at Riccarton Park, 1200m.
Returning to the scene of her Listed Welcome Stakes win here last November, Miss Federer added win four (third stakes) from seven career starts in a front-running performance here.
She was quickly into stride to lead early and had a clear length advantage at the crossing.
Straightening for the run home she slipped clear by two lengths and increased the lead to three lengths past the 200m and looked in for an easy win but her stride shortened inside the 100m yet she had a neck to spare at the line.
All About Magic sat a handy third (one out) at the crossing, still third at the top of the straight but didn't wind up until late, finishing well but the winner's break was too much.
Woodcote Lass turned in six deep in fourth but took a long while to close, battling late to grab third from Live Drama who ran on wide out for fourth.
