Single Handed wins Tokyo City Cup Listed, $100,000 at Morphettville, 1800m.
The Bendigo-trained Single Handed advanced to 1800m at his second run back to take out his first stakes race here, his fourth win from 10 starts to date.
Well supported at good odds, he began well and settled in third spot on the rails before moving up on turning for home.
He got to the front at the 200m and then fought back to win well, looking suited to further still.
The favourite Charossa raced in fourth place, improved nicely nearing the home turn, challenged at the 200m and kept battling on for second, beaten a half-length.
Wasabi Bob raced outside the leader (Tatoosh), went to the front on straightening and then held on quite well for third.
