Princess Jenni wins Four’n Twenty Stocks Stakes Group 2, $200,000 at Moonee Valley, 1600m.
Princess Jenni ,winner of the Alexandra Stakes (Gr 3, 1600m) at this track in March, showed her liking for Moonee Valley with another Group success here.
She settled in seventh place between runners but was blocked approaching the home turn.
Damien Oliver eased her deeper and into clear running at the bend and she then finished too well to score a very good win.
The New Zealand mare Rondinella raced in fourth spot but was held up badly nearing the home turn. She finally got a split at the 100m and then ran on for second looking somewhat unlucky.
Oceanex raced in last place, went deep on passing the 600m, was widest of all rounding the home and then ran on well for a good third just in front of Spanish Reef who had race near the tail of the field before finished in good style, wide out in the straight, for fourth.
