The Mike Moroney-trained mare Tofane continues to race in good form, now winning three of her last four starts, twice at Group 3 level.

She travelled nicely, behind runners in about fifth place, racing near the grandstand side, before commencing her move approaching the 200m. She then challenged at the 100m and finished well to score a very good win.

Pippie showed her usual pace and raced outside the leader (Spirit's Choice) before going to the front at the 200m. She then fought back well for second, beaten a length and a quarter.

Miss Iano settled back in 10th place, not that far off the leading group in a packed field. She took a split at the 200m and then ran on nicely for third, finishing just in front of Manicure who had been handily placed all the way before holding on well for (2.2 lengths) fourth.
