Justamaiz wins Sky City Hamilton Waikato Cup, Group 3, NZ$100,000 at Te Rapa, 2400m.
Locally trained Justamaiz led virtually from start to finish, giving his chasers little chance by dictating the pace and having too much in reserve in the straight for win six and his maiden stakes win.
He was very wide early then took over the lead approaching the post with a circuit to run.
Starting the back straight he cruised along by more than two lengths and was not pressured at all then quickened from the 600m.
From the top of the straight he was out by two and had plenty in reserve, keeping going to be clear by two and a half lengths at the line.
Masetto was third (rails) down the back, went to second turning in and stayed well all the way to the line for second.
Dezella was sixth, one out, from the 600m, fifth turning in and ran on fairly for third while Vin De Dance had every chance in third at the 300m before fading to fourth.
