D & B HAYES & T DABERNIG

Ever since the days of his celebrated father Colin, David Hayes has been engrossed in the training of elite thoroughbreds.

Taking over in 1990 he had immediate big race results with Better Loosen Up winning the Cox Plate and then a momentous Japan Cup along with a world record six Group winners on Derby Day at Flemington.

Following a prosperous time in Hong Kong, in recent years he has joined forces back in Australia, firstly with his nephew Tom Dabernig and also then with his son Ben.

Horses like Redkirk Warrior, Harlem and Vega Magic have been part of their combined enterprise.
