Triple world champion Max Verstappen returns to the scene of one of his most famous wins with a 25-point lead in the drivers' standings following another victory in China last month.
It's easy to forget that Verstappen was feeling the heat heading into last year's Miami Grand Prix, having shared two wins apiece with team-mate Sergio Perez in the first four races.
The Dutchman was only six points ahead of fellow Red Bull man Perez in the title race and faced a daunting challenge from ninth on the grid after failing to set a time in Q3.
A confident Perez started from pole position but an hour and a half later it was Verstappen who was smiling, having passed the Mexican for the lead nine laps from the flag after a terrific drive.
And since that cloudy afternoon in Florida, Verstappen has been beaten only twice - in Singapore last year and Australia this, both times by Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.
It all adds up to a remarkable streak of 21 wins from 23 starts for the 26-year-old, so it's no surprise to see him priced as a 1/7 shot to take a third successive win on the Miami track.
Perez is judged a 12/1 second favourite with every other driver priced at 20/1 or higher, including Lando Norris, who played a starring role for McLaren on his way to second place in Shanghai.
The bookies can't split Norris and the Ferrari drivers, Sainz and Charles Leclerc, in the battle to join the Red Bulls on the podium.
Leclerc edges that contest, priced at 13/8 to be spraying champagne on Sunday, with Norris 7/4 and Sainz 15/8.
Fernando Alonso was the man who took third place behind Verstappen and Perez here last year - and indeed the Spaniard was in the thick of the fight with the Ferraris in China last time out, but was forced to settle for seventh after Aston Martin misjudged his race strategy.
The former champion is available at double-figure odds to take another podium, but the Aston's outright race pace isn't quite in the same league as its rivals Ferrari and McLaren.
Perhaps the best bet of the weekend can be found in the qualifying session for Saturday's Sprint event, a market which the Red Bull drivers dominate.
Leclerc is disputing third-favouritism with Sainz and Norris but his record over one lap suggests that he should arguably be closer to Perez's price of 6/1.
It's a tall order for the Ferrari man but Verstappen is on occasion vulnerable in the Sprint format, and Perez doesn't convince.
At 14/1, the qualifying specialist is worth a speculative punt.
